Clothing

Puerto Madryn follows much of the fashion around the world with many of the most known brands for sale in the city. With so many tourists around the place too, all with different forms of dressing, it really does not matter greatly what style of clothing you decide to bring with you as you will fit in very well in this city.

Warm clothes at the coast

In winter your clothes must be very warm

Adequate Clothing

However, when you do come here you need to ensure that you bring clothing that is adequate for the climate and what you will be doing here.

Try to bring some good clothes for use in some of the traditional churches which expect men to be dressed in button up shirts and ties and women in long skirts or dresses. Also consider bringing something for the practical activities (soccer is standard in this part of the world) and work that you may be involved in while here.

Clothes for a cold climate

Be sure you are warm enough for the cold here

During summer, although we often use lighter summer clothing, it can still get cold, so bring enough clothes to keep you warm. Do not forget to bring your swimsuit, sunglasses, and sunscreen for the beach.

In winter it can get very cold at times, although you will spend a good part of your time indoors where we have heating throughout the buildings. Even so, you will need some very warm clothes for the times that we head out for evangelism and when you want to walk around the city. Remember that the wind brings the most cold so bring clothes to protect you from this.

Bring a hat for the sun

Do not forget to bring sun protection

Once you have sorted out the clothes that you will need for your time here in Puerto Madryn, also remember to pack for your outreach and the climate that you will experience there. If you do not know which sort of climate or location you will be in, bring layers of clothes that can work in any variation of conditions. This way if you are in a hot or a cold place you will have enough clothes for the weather.

Playing football

Of course you need to bring clothes to play football (soccer)

Remember that should you need something more once you get here then you may consider purchasing it locally. Generally it is better to bring a little of everything. Regarding shoes, bring shoes that are comfortable to walk in, good shoes for church, and shoes for playing sports (if they are different). Sandals are also great for the beach and when showering.
