Background
After many years of prayer for a YWAM base to be established in Bariloche, God called us to take up the challenge. We are now living and working in Bariloche as a team, receiving outreach teams, running workshops, and working with the churches. And we will start running the D.T.S. in October,1st .
Bariloche
The town of San Carlos de Bariloche is one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Argentina. People from all over the world can be found in this town. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and situated on a large lake fed by the melting snows, this small town has a booming population most of the year around.During the summer months the town is known for its hiking and lake excursions, with many other physical activities such as mountain biking, kite surfing, motorcycling, running, and more. In the winter months, snow settles over the entire place signifying the start of skiing season. Throughout the entire year however, Bariloche has made a name for itself with the quality of the chocolates made and sold only here.The challenge of YWAM in Bariloche is to bring about an impact on the town, amongst the tourists as well as amongst the locals, redeeming it for God in all areas. Bariloche is a very strategic location within Argentina, creating a place from where we can impact not only Argentina, but also the nations.
