Welcome

As YWAM Bariloche we want to welcome you to our web-site. Here you can find out and see everything that God is doing with us as a pioneer base. We believe that God has a purpose for your life and you can live it out by discovering it and responding to Him in what you have been created for. Patagonia is known as a land that is not apt for living and not all has been conquered. But we want to tell you that everything is possible. It is time to conquer.

BARI-News

We are very happy with all that we are living here as a Mission in Bariloche. Seeing God’s FAITHFULNESS every day is a beautiful thing that we are glad to be able to share with you.

Our work:
• The teams from the Discipleship Schools that we received the beginning of January were helping in various churches in Bariloche. They challenged the youth to a greater comittment to God, to search for his will for each one of their lives, and they also taught about doing our part in the Great Commission (Mark 16:15) “Summer of Missions” from January 16 to 31 youth from different churches and YWAM bases participated in this event, where for two weeks they gave workshops, served in the city and did evangelism on the streets.

As a Mission:
• In January Patricia traveled to Buenos Aires to participate in a conference in which the founders of YWAM visited.
• The end of March we will be receiving 30 people, the national leadership team of YWAM Argentina. This is challenging us to surpass our limits, find accommodations and provide attentive hospitality.
• We are also preparing for the DTS (Discipleship Training School), such as the teachings, the visiting teachers, the schedule, etc. We thank God for the students who are confirmed and for the ones who are in the process.
• We continue with our commitment with the children and familias in an area called 34 Hectars and in the hospital with the “Jeremiah Project”.

• Aluminé and Ruca Choroi: from February 10 to 17 we visited a small town in the Andes Mountain chain doing repair work at a school in the Mapuche Aboriginal community called Ruca Choroi. It was a unique experience, not only to be able to serve them, but also teach and share with the teachers and people in the community about the values of the Kingdom, that there is a God that is interested in them and that loves them. There we worked along side of seven people from Monte Grande, Buenos Airesos which was a great time to get to know them and enjoy each moment together that God allowed.

The next challenges:
• The National Leaders’ Retreat will take place here in Bariloche March 26th to the 31st, and we will be hosting the event, with approximately 30 leaders from Argentina arriving, to together search for the next steps of the Mission for this year.
• In addition to the teams that arrive periodically to help us, in March ROB (Australia) will be joining the base staff to help us with the DTS. We are already seeing that the base is growing, as we have 5 students confirmed for the school that begins April 1. This is challenging us to “…widen our tent…” We need to make an extension to the house that would be the classroom, two bedrooms and a bathroom, and this will have a cost of $8000 for materials since we will be doing the manual work.
• A church has offered us a position on the radio. We are praying to know God’s timing for when to begin the program.

YWAM Bariloche

A Touch of heaven

last november,  it was the National YWAM Argentina Conference at the base in Mendoza. There were more than 300 people between the volunteers, students and guests, and more than 20 countries represented including Zambia, India, Cameroon, switzerland, Canada, Australia, and Brazil.

They were 6 days full of God moving among us. We participated in devotionals, beautiful times of worship and intercession, evening meetings directed by our national leaders and times of recreation. But over everything, we saw the diversity of God in each one of the cultures present, shared laughter and tears with our family from each of the YWAM bases here in Argentina, and saw the faithfulness of our Creator.

As a Mission

it was a time to share God’s miracles from this last year, and to anticipate the coming miracles for this next year.During 2007 we have sent teams to 22 provinces of Argentina, and also 25 other countries including China, South Africa, Chile, and England.

During this last year the statistics were higher than ever and in each number we have been able to see the back - up of our God through each challenge that we have decided to trust in Him.

We have a goal and a commitment - to complete `The Great Commission´ even though this can be a challenge
